When is the offer available?
This limited time only offer is available from January 18, 2010 to March 31,
2010. In order to qualify for the Prestige Elite offer, any transfer of assets
in progress before March 31,2010 must be received by April 30, 2010.
What are the regular qualifications for the HSBC InvestDirect Prestige Elite
program?
In order to regularly qualify for the Prestige Elite program, you must have a
minimum of $1,000,000 in assets with HSBC InvestDirect or make 150+ trades per

When will my account be coded with Prestige Elite status?
Your account will be coded with the Prestige Elite status within five business
days that the assets are received by HSBC InvestDirect.
How do I know if my account has been upgraded to Prestige Elite status?
You can view the current Prestige status(es) of your account(s) online:

Click on Preferences (left hand navigation) from the homepage (invest.hsbc.ca)

Go to the Prestige Program Status tab of the Preferences section.

The page will display the current Prestige Program status of each account that
is linked to your Access ID.
Can I make multiple transfers into my account to qualify?
No. You must transfer one $50,000 CDN lump sum to qualify for the offer.
Does the account need to maintain the $50,000 CDN balance to keep the Prestige
Elite status?
Yes. The assets will need to be maintained for the duration of the campaign and
the duration of the time the Prestige Elite benefits are extended. If the
account does not maintain the $50,000 CDN balance regular fees and commissions
will apply.
What will happen after the offer period?
After the offer period, HSBC InvestDirect will review all of the accounts to
determine if they qualify for the Prestige Program. If you regularly qualify
for Prestige, your account will be automatically coded with Prestige status. If
your account does not qualify, your account will be coded as regular status.
If I qualify for the offer on March 31, 2010, will I still benefit from three
months of Prestige Elite status?
Yes. You will receive three months of Prestige Elite status from the date that
the account is coded.
Can I qualify by transferring assets into multiple accounts?
No. The $50,000 CDN must be deposited into one HSBC InvestDirect account.
Will I be eligible for a reimbursement of transfer fee from another Financial
Institution?
Yes. HSBC InvestDirect will reimburse the transfer fee of any transfer of
$15,000 CDN or greater. (Up to a maximum of $150 per transfer).
If I have multiple InvestDirect accounts, will the Prestige Elite benefits be
extended to all accounts?
No. The Prestige Elite benefits will only be extended to the qualifying account
(six-digit base account number). See below for example.
